The autobiographical trilogy of Maxim Gorky was written in 1913-1923. And although the world, reflected in the children"s eyes of the protagonist, sometimes looks terrible and ugly, the book leaves the feeling of light, and through the "lead abominations", through all the evil and rude, the variegated and joyful picture of life appears, for which the author did not regret bright and juicy colors
