The Russian writer, thinker and five -time nominee for the Nobel Prize Maxim Gorky before he devoted his life to literature, spent a lot of time traveling in the Russian Empire. He was orphaned early and grew up in the house where a hostile atmosphere reigned. Grandmother tried in every possible way to surround him with love and care, but she never dared to argue with her husband. Grandfather raised his grandson in the old fashioned way and wrapped his whole family. The suffering experienced in childhood left an indelible mark in the soul of the writer and formed the basis of the autobiographical trilogy “Childhood. In people. My universities ”, where he talks about growing up and first disappointments
