The Prussian officer who fought with Napoleon on the side of Russia was far from the first to write about the war. But these works told how to wage war. Clausewitz, on the other hand, tried to penetrate the essence of the war, analyze it as a social phenomenon. And he coped with this task brilliantly. He did not just give an overview of armed conflicts in the history of mankind - he brilliantly formulated the war as a philosophy, brought its laws and defined the driving forces. As a result, the strategic and philosophical understanding of the war turned out to be divided into "before" and "after" the appearance of a book with a simple name "about the war". Thus, this book remains one of the greatest strategic research in history, and the principles determined by the author are applied not only to analyze hostilities, but also for the formation of competition strategies in politics and business
