The second part of the Burgundy Wars. The army of the Grand Dukes of the West is devoted to such aspects of the military affairs of the Burgundian state as weapons, artillery and symbolism, placed on the elements of uniforms and banners. Based on a huge number of sources, the author demonstrates the reader a colorful and magnificent facade of one of the strongest armies of the late Middle Ages. Polished armor and brilliant chain mail, embroidered with heraldic emblems of livery, fluttering silk standards, snow -white trellises of soldier tents and knightly tents, advanced artillery - bombers, Serpentins, Kulevrins and vegler for that time! All this caused envy among the European rulers and became for them both an element of a constant threat and the desired military booty. All this was made by the famous Burgundy and Flemish masters-armor-assembly gunsmiths, decorators, embroiderers and food master, scrupulously counted, paid from the ducal treasury or wallets of wealthy lords, was stored in arsenals and transported under the walls of enemy strengths and to Bitwa fields. And then almost all this formidable luxury burned in the fire of the battles and the siege, expired from time to time or was sent by descendants to ruthless remelting. Therefore, the author had to do a tremendous work in order to return from non -existence at least part of the former Burgundian military splendor and present it to the reader.
