The story “The Evil Spirit of Yambuy” by the wonderful Russian writer and traveler Grigory Anisimovich Fedoseev (1899-1968) talks about the events that occurred in the late 1940s in the inaccessible regions of Eastern Siberia. During geodetic research on the expedition, three people disappear one by one. The expedition plan is threatened with a breakdown. Colleagues go in search of the missing. All the disappearance occurred near Mount Yambuy. After some time, the heroes meet with the Evenk tribe, where they are told by all sorts of stories about Yambuy and the evil spirit that wandering there. It also becomes known from local residents that, in addition to surveyors, two Evenks had previously disappeared. Risking himself, an elderly Event hunter and the main character of the story can track and kill the evil spirit, which turned out to be a challenge bear-cereal.
