The book is a gallery of historical portraits of various Ukrainian (Little Russian) figures, as well as natives of Ukraine (Little Russia) who became famous beyond its borders. Some of these figures of the past are almost unknown to the general public. Others, on the contrary, are well known, but are shown in the book from the unexpected side. Contrary to the thesis that has become popular recently about the unsuitability of black and white measurement of historical characters, the author shows that there are in the history of personality, who has painted themselves in a unambiguously black or unambiguously white color. Although, of course, there are in historical chess (unlike classic chess) and colorful figures. These are also presented in the book. Hetmans and religious fanatics, public and revolutionary figures, Ukrainian (Little Russian) politicians, scientists, writers ... They will be discussed in the book
