The Historical-Legal Yearbook is a specialized annual publication of the Association of Legal Historians, in which the research of Russian and foreign scholars on fundamental and priority directions of the development of historical-legal science is published. It also includes reviews and scientific overviews reflecting contemporary trends in doctrinal research and the state of discussion in the context of disciplinary and interdisciplinary examination of historical-legal reality, taking into account the rich heritage of archival materials, the latest sources and factual base, creative interpretation of the issues of historical-legal past.
The first issue of the yearbook includes scientific research dedicated to specific aspects of the development of law and the state in their retrospective dimension, as well as theoretical, methodological, and other issues of historical-legal science at the present stage of its development, the significance of which is increasing in light of the new vector of modern processes of legal education and science modernization, driven by increased attention to the study of history and respect for the memory of generations.
