The training manual contains modern information about the microscopic structure and the embryonic development of the oral cavity. The structure of cells, tissues and oral organs is considered in an inextricable connection with their function and features in various age periods. In accordance with the medical orientation of the course, the clinical importance of violations of some described morphofincional mechanisms is specifically noted and the possibilities of diagnosing various dental diseases using cyto- and histological methods are indicated.
