The book recreates the process of forming the air fleet of Russia under the leadership of the Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and represents once famous, but undeservedly devoted to the oblivion of aeronautics and pilots of the beginning of the 20th century.
Compiled by S.V. Gribanov, a pilot-fighter, a member of the Russian Writers Union, the book includes manifestos and open letters of representatives of the Tsarist name, fragments of the chronicles from the periodicals of the beginning of the last century, memories and email letters (E.V. Rudneva, B.M.kacheva, P.N.nesterova), as well as essays and stories of professional writers (Vl. Gelyarovsky, A. Kuprina, A. Tolstoy).
The book is the 66th account in the book series produced by the Publishing House Centerpolygraf together with the Russian noble assembly called "Russia Forgotten and Unknown".
The book is designed for a wide range of readers, especially related to aviation, as well as historians, scientists, state and socio-political figures involved in the formation of new spiritual values of reviving Russia
