"The Hierarchy of Heaven and Earth" is a fundamental work by D.E. Harding (1909–2007), representing a revolutionary contribution to the new cosmology. Through his own research at the center of himself, Harding discovered that he was empty, devoid of matter, devoid of mind - yet this emptiness was conscious and encompassed everything. And although the idea of a center implied a certain point, the research revealed that this central consciousness was everywhere and filled every level of the universe with life. To others, he was a multi-layered system of appearances surrounding an unfathomable mystery, and to himself, he was that mystery, the invisible root from which the hierarchically organized Universe grows, which is very different from our version created by "common" sense.
"I believe that this book is the first attempt to turn in a different direction the movement of thought that has been happening since the very birth of philosophy... A highly ingenious book." - C.S. Lewis
