Anna Revyakina is a unique phenomenon in contemporary Russian poetry, with a phenomenal sense of language, amazingly subtle understanding of the meaning of life, a frightening depth of penetration into the human soul, and boundless, staggering sincerity. People in her poems appear as heroes, bearing the weight of the great Russian civilization with its complex history and highest spiritual traditions. She is the author of eleven poetry books, with her poems translated into 16 languages. She is a laureate of numerous national and international literary awards. Evgeny Evtushenko called Anna Revyakina a great Russian poetess, Vladimir Solovyov named her the best poet of the country, and Zakhar Prilepin described her as a star of Russian words that has risen in the sky of Donetsk. Stanislav Kunyaev placed her poem "The Miner's Daughter" on the level of Yaroslavna's lament from "The Tale of Igor's Campaign" in Russian culture. Plays, films, and songs are created based on Anna Revyakina's works, and her poems are included in school curricula. Born and raised in Donetsk, she graduated from Donetsk National University with degrees in economics and journalism. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is an associate professor at the Faculty of World Politics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. She is a member of the Public Chamber of Russia and lives in Donetsk and Moscow.
