This is a collection of artistic science fiction prose - a series of novellas by Muratov, lyrical in style but adventurous in their plots. The book conveys a silver-medieval game - an attempt to unite centuries into some kind of integrity through heroes, both literary and historical. It includes participants of the Napoleonic wars, Polish adventurers, fantastical depictions of knights and ladies who never existed. Pavel Pavlovich Muratov (1881-1950) was a Russian writer and art historian, translator and publisher, emigrant, and organizer of the "Bookshop of Writers." In 1923, after settling in Rome, he hosted a salon in his home where practically all Russian intellectuals who were in the Italian capital at that time visited. The edition of 30 copies was produced using print-on-demand technology.
