Ilya Mikhailovich Cartavtsov (1895-1971) - the genealogy, bibliographer, necropolitanist, local history, Bibliophile, author of the famous bibliographic book "estate of the Moscow province ..." (1927, reissue. 1992) Published fragments of memoirs and correspondence give an idea of the extensive literary and epistolary heritage of the author. For the first time, the preserved chapters of the memories of IM are printed. Martavtsova about the miscarriage - a generic estate in the Tula province, destroyed in February 1918, his essay "Tyutchev and Fet as a teacher of life", impressions of communication with V.A. Gilyarovsky, V.V. Veresaev and other writers. The book also entered the memories of sister I.M. Kartavtsova, who among other things, talks about the camp period of life Ilya Mikhailovich: 27 years spent behind the prison barbed wire and in the northern link. Epistolar part is represented by letters to Kontravda V.M. Rudnev belonging to the second half of the 60s. XX century
