In the monograph, the ideas of the largest English philosopher and sociologist of the XIX century Herbert Spencer are analyzed. The formation of its scientific worldview in a row of positivism (evolutionism, organity, political sociology) is shown, the place and role of Spancer in world sociological science are identified. The author was especially noted raised by Spencer and currently issues of demography and social policy.
