Heat and the cardiovascular system

The book is devoted to the relevant, but so far a little-learning problem: the influence of climatic factors, namely the abnormal heat, on human health. It included data of epidemiological and clinical studies, reflecting the effect of heat waves on the incidence and mortality of the population. The definition and criteria for the concept of the heat wave are given, the mechanisms of adaptation and deadaption of the body of healthy people and patients with cardiovascular diseases to high temperatures are highlighted, the risk factors for the development of complications are highlighted. A separate chapter is devoted to thermal diseases. Particular attention is paid to the methods of preventing the negative effects of heat waves on the course of cardiovascular diseases. The influence of the main groups of cardiopreparations, such as ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, statins, etc., on the body of their host patients during heat are described. A separate section is devoted to the possibility of using drugs with adaptogenic properties (Panangin, Mildonat, Kudesan, Afobazole) in order to level the negative impact of heat on the state of the cardiovascular system and the quality of life of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
