The textbook was prepared in accordance with the new Federal State Educational Standard for teaching the discipline "Public Health and Health" to students of the Faculty of Medicine and Training programs in the residency and at the continuing education courses of employees of Rospotrebnadzor and the FBUZ "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology". Separate sections are devoted to the theoretical foundations of the discipline, the basics of statistics and organization of statistical research, legal and organizational issues of the protection of public health and the activities of the state sanitary and epidemiological service, ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population and the protection of consumer rights, the organization of socio-hygienic monitoring, planning and financing of bodies and institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, assessing the effectiveness of the service, sanitary education of the population.
