In the atlas, from modern positions, anatomical and bio-mechanical features of the musculoskeletal system are represented. The physiological characteristics and justification of the use of various means of medical rehabilitation (physiotherapy, massage, elements of manual therapy) are given. The types and characteristics of various massage techniques, a combination of massage with physical exercises and elements of manual therapy are described in detail.
The book discusses the mechanisms of various diseases of the internal organs and the joint-capsule apparatus, clarified clinical and functional signs (criteria), which allow not only to diagnose the disease, but also to determine the stage and course of the main pathological process and propose an adequate methodology adequate to this massage combined with physical exercises. Modern treatment technologies are presented, including various types of massage for diseases (damage) of internal organs and locomotor apparatus. The possibilities of presented rehabilitation medicine technologies are evaluated from the standpoint of not only evidence-based medicine, but also a syndrome-pathogenetic approach to the disease. Technologies for the combined use of various types of massage in combination with physical exercises and elements of manual therapy will help masseurs to improve their qualifications.
