In the third edition of the monograph "Healthcare of Russia. What should be done "justified, what needs to be done in the health care of the Russian Federation at the federal and regional levels to achieve the national goal set by the President of the Russian Federation - to increase the expected life expectancy from the current 72.9 years to 78 years by 2024. It presented the analysis Demographic indicators of the Russian Federation, factors that determine the health of the population, the state and activities of the healthcare system of the Russian Federation with an emphasis for the last 6 years. The sufficiency of the measures provided for in the state program "development of healthcare", national projects "healthcare" and "demography" was evaluated to achieve a nationwide goal. Additional proposals for the priority areas of healthcare development for the period 2019-2024 are substantiated. And the calculations of the necessary financing are made. The ratings of the regions of the Russian Federation on the effectiveness of the management of the public health system are presented. The third edition of the book actualizes and complements the second, contains links to those sections that did not require changes and have not been included in the real publication, so it is advisable to consider them together.
