The book that you hold in your hands is the result of the efforts of Mehdi Azarazdi - a famous children"s writer from the Islamic Republic of Iran. He began to engage in literary activities about fifty years ago, when he conceived to process classic Persian, Arab and Indian parables for the modern young reader.
The most famous work of Mehdi Azarazdi is the preparation of a semitomic collection of fairy tales under the general name of "good fairy tales for good children", who received a special UNESCO Prize and recognized as the best edition of 1967. In Iran itself, this collection had about ten reissues, invariably causing interest among the younger generation. The fourth volume of the collection "Good fairy tales for good children", called in the present edition of the Seller Halva, goes back to the Poem "Masnavi Yi Ma"navi" - one of the most significant works of Persian literature.
