The book is dedicated to the party and state activities of Gumer Ismagilovich Usmanov (16.03.1932, Chistopol - 24.02.2015, Kazan), who served as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Tatar ASSR (1966-1982), the 1st Secretary of the Tatar Regional Committee of the CPSU (1982-1989), and the Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1989-1990). During his leadership of the government of the Tatar ASSR and the Tatar Regional Committee of the CPSU, there was a significant progressive leap in the economy and socio-cultural sphere of the republic, for which G.I. Usmanov was awarded the Orders of the October Revolution, the Labor Red Banner, the 'Badge of Honor', 'For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan', and medals. The publication is intended for a wide range of readers.
