Jonathan Swift (1667—1745) was an Anglo-Irish writer and satirist, public figure, held a Doctor of Divinity degree, and was the dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral. "Gulliver's Travels" was published when the author was 60 years old. The novel immediately gained immense popularity among young and adult readers.
Our book includes three parts of the fantastic novel: "A Voyage to Lilliput," "A Voyage to the Giants," and "A Voyage to the Country of the Houyhnhnms." Today, as in the 17th century, "Gulliver's Travels" remains highly relevant. Children love this work for its fantastic, exciting, and dangerous adventures that the desperate sailor encounters, while adults see how subtly Swift mocks the problems of human society. "Gulliver's Travels" is one of the great works of world literature that everyone should read.
