Management contains modern data on bacterial and mycotic pathogens of the most common opportunistic infections, including intra-community, as well as methods of etiological diagnostics. The authors of chapters and sections are leading Russian specialists in the field of exploring the pathogens of modern opportunistic infection - bacteria and mushrooms. Tom contains an introductory part and a part dedicated to individual groups of microorganisms, as well as a section on the role of a normal human flora.
In the introductory part, the current definition of opportunistic infection, its species composition, factors leading to the formation and distribution of pathogens are given.
In the part on directly pathogens of the opportunist infection, separately gram-positive and gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, as well as opportunistic mushrooms and the simplest are presented separately. The description ends with the head that contains the ripening of nutrient media and the reagents necessary precisely for the diagnosis of opportunistic infections.
In sections on individual pathogens, modern information about their biological properties, including pathogenicity and its genetic regulation, sensitivity and resistance to antibiotics, microbiological diagnostic methods and sensitivity determination methods are presented. The pathogenesis and main clinical manifestations of infections caused by individual pathogens are briefly given, as well as the methods of their etiotropic treatment. The information about the sources and ways of transmitting infections caused by each individual causative agent are compressed.
In describing the methods of etiological diagnostics and detection of sensitivity, the authors were primarily based on the guidance and methodological documents regulated by Russian or WHO health authorities. In some cases, personal experience of authors and methods used by leading foreign countries (USA, Great Britain, etc) are given.
The book is intended for microbiology doctors, scientists, teachers of universities and students of the system of postgraduate vocational education of doctors as a teaching manual
