The book is the only leadership in Russia on the conceptual and methodological aspects of the quality of life in medicine. The publication considers the possibilities of the method of assessing the quality of life in clinical studies and clinical practice and the foundations of the methodology for studying the quality of life in medicine are found. The leadership summarized the international and domestic experience in studying the quality of life of patients in various sections of medicine: cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, oncology, transplantology, pediatrics and palliative medicine. The approaches to the conduct of population studies are highlighted, the results of the first in Russia of a population study of the quality of life are presented. The application of the method of assessing the quality of life in pharmacoeconomic analysis is considered.
