The Guidelines for Medical Microbiology, written by the team of famous scientists and practical doctors, is published in three books.
In the book 1 presents materials on general and sanitary microbiology, the basics of theoretical and applied immunology are presented. General requirements for organizing and conducting work with pathogenic microorganisms, a device and equipped with a microbiological clinical laboratory used by disinfection and sterilization methods used. The principles of taxonomy and classification of microorganisms are given. Information about the morphology and ultrastructure of prokaryotov, methods of their microscopic examination, on the basics of energy exchange and biosynthesis processes are presented in detail. The methods of their cultivation on nutrient media of various composition, identification tests and differentiation in classical and express options are described. Materials on the use of antimicrobial drugs are included on the methods of determining antibiotic sensitivity, the basics of genetics of bacteria and methods of molecular genetic studies in the diagnosis of infectious diseases, the scheme of the PCR formulation is detailed. The structure and properties of bacteriophages are described, their use in practice. The main properties of pathogenic bacteria and methods of reproduction of experimental infection on laboratory animal models are listed.
