This monograph is a continuation of a research project in various directions of Christian science, which includes the publication of the original text, translation, and research. The aforementioned work is dedicated to the history of the writing of the book "Guide to Confession" by St. Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain (1749-1809) in two editions (1794 and 1804) and a comparative analysis of its text with the books of Italian Jesuits Paolo Senieri (1624-1694) and Giovanni Pietro Pinamonti (1632-1703), which, in the Greek translation by Emmanuel Romanitis, were used by St. Nicodemus in the compilation of the "Guide". The monograph explores the indirect influence of Latin theology on the work of St. Nicodemus through the well-known theologians of the Turkocracy era - Metropolitan Gabriel Severus (1540-1616), George Koresios (1570-1659/60), Hieromonk Methodius Anfrakita (c. 1660 - after 1736), Patriarch Chrysanthus Notaras (1663-1731), and Patriarch Callinicus III (1713-1791).
