The guide is dedicated to the legal and methodological support of the implementation of the criminal and criminal procedural legislation of the Russian Federation in the investigation of certain types of crimes against individuals, in the field of economics, against public safety and public order, and against state power. Criminal law, procedural, and forensic aspects of the preliminary investigation of crimes based on the investigative and judicial practices of the subjects of the Russian Federation are considered. The conclusions and recommendations outlined in the guide are aimed at increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the activities of the preliminary investigation and inquiry bodies. The legislation is provided as of March 2015. The guide is intended for investigators, interrogators, prosecutors, and judges. The publication may be of interest to researchers, teachers, and students of legal higher education institutions.
