In front of you is a new novel by Nikolai Bizin. It is a "novel precisely about the fate of my Homeland," as the author describes it. At first glance, there are "neither Hellenes nor Jews" in it (which is associated with such a remarkable commonality as the Soviet people), but there is the Wednesday of Resurrection, in which we were born and continue to resist invincible entropy throughout our lives. The novel is about fate: the relationships of the characters with their past, present, and future, based on some memoirism: how the consequences of decisions made by the Supreme Commanders invisibly sprout through our bodies and souls - for the sake of the survival of the ethnic group (and individual) and the collective preservation of Faith. Events are shown from two sides: these are the life struggles of us (the author and his small Church of friends) in Moscow in the 1990s, and the posthumous struggles of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin - everything leads to a simple thought: Each of us not only has our own Alley of Angels, but each one is its guardian angel. And the fact that there are no dead for God is pure truth if one decides (even if hopelessly) to resist the cunning entropy. And the weight of decision-making will be discussed: everyone is given a Cross according to their strength. The narrative contains neither accusations nor justifications (self-accusations and self-justifications), there is a belief that we have already defeated the invincible evil.
