The book covers the main components of grinding technology: abrasive materials and tools, features of the contact interaction of the abrasive tool with the processed surface, kinematics and dynamics of the grinding process, dressing of grinding wheels, etc. Special attention is paid to the use of cubic boron nitride (CBN) wheels, including new AEROBOR wheels, issues of high-speed and deep grinding technology, processing of heat-resistant alloys, wear-resistant and elastomeric coatings. Recommendations are provided for selecting optimal characteristics of grinding wheels and grinding modes. The book is intended for specialists-technologists in various branches of mechanical engineering, as well as for students and teachers of mechanical engineering specialties in higher and secondary educational institutions.
