In March 1979, on a tiny island in the Caribbean - Grenada - a folk anti -imperialist revolution occurred, which overthrew the dictatorial pro -American regime. The people of this country, with the help of Cuba, the USSR and other socialist countries, began to build a society free of exploitation of man by man.
In October 1983, the United States invaded the island and, despite the courageous resistance of the Grenadian People"s Road Army and the Public Police, suppressed the revolution. Barbaric aggression caused almost unanimous condemnation in the UN General Assembly.
