The book reflects the scientific views of the leading European scientists-military people on the history of Muslim empires in the XV-XIX centuries. Along with studies devoted to the rise and fall of the great powers and the ruling dynasties of the near and Middle East, the processes that occurred on the periphery of the Islamic world are considered.
