Arkady Rovner - a poet, writer and researcher of spiritual traditions - was formed in the Moscow literary, art and mystical underground of the 1960s. From 1973 to 1994 he taught eastern religions, Christian theology, modern mysticism at the universities of New York. The editor of the bilingual literary and religious-philosophical magazine "Gnosis (1978-2006) and the Anthology of Gnosis (1982-1983, 1994), which formed a kind of bridge between the metaphysical art of Russia and the United States, published in New York and in Moscow.
