The book gives the reader the historical section of the religious-cultural and socio-political development of the most complex post-Soviet region- the Caucasus quarter a century after the collapse of the USSR. Based on the material of the analysis of several conflicts (Karabakh), the provisions of religious faiths (Armenian Apostolic Church, Islam), key historical episodes and their later reception (from deportations to migrations of the post -Soviet era), the international collective of scientists draws a new stereoscopic and often contradictory picture of the region.
Among the authors of the collection are both well -known and novice researchers who worked on the book of both the Karamzinsky scholarships of the Foundation Mikhail Prokhorov.
