Apikuni - The Far White Robe - is the name given by the Blackfeet Indians to the writer James Willard Schultz (1859–1947), who lived among them for a long time, traded with them, studied their history, beliefs, and customs, and was married to a girl from the Piegan tribe. Schultz's books open a window for readers into the world of the Native Americans of the Old West, a world of hunters, warriors, travelers, shamans, the world of pristine nature - the World of Apikuni. The latest volume of Schultz's works includes works, two of which are being published in Russian for the first time. Along with Apikuni, the reader will embark on a journey to the lands where Schultz spent his youth, meet his old friends, learn a lot about the daily life, customs, and traditions of the Blackfeet Indians, listen to ancient legends and tales of valor on the warpath. The young hero of the adventure story set in the sacred Apache Forest will tell about what he experienced together with the Native Americans of the American Southwest in the struggle against arsonists on a remote mountain peak in the Arizona wilderness. All the narratives are based on real events, which can be learned about from the documentary appendices.
