The story "Grail and Censor" by Vyacheslav Vlasov is dedicated to the history of the first staging of Richard Wagner's solemn stage mystery "Parsifal" in the Russian Empire in 1913. Its heroes are censors, whose official duty clashes with their burning desire to introduce the enlightened public to the highest musical art, to give their compatriots a colossal spiritual experience. The pages of the work intertwine great music, theatrical intrigues, the history of our country at the beginning of the 20th century, and current reflections on art.
