This book briefly presents all the main chapters from the Gospel, the Acts of the Apostles and the revelations of John the Theologian in the illustrations of the beautiful German romance artist Julius Schnera von Karolsfeld.
Julius studied at the Vienna Academy of Arts, spent a lot of time in Italy, where he painted one of the halls of the Villa Marquise by mass-powered frescoes depicting the plots from the Furious Roland. In 1827, he became a professor of historical painting at the Munich Academy, and his frescoes were decorated with Ludwig I Palace.
But great fame and popularity, both in Germany and in other countries, he acquired precisely thanks to the most important work of his life - elegant spiritualized engravings, its famous illustrations to the Bible
