The literary and artistic album of Gogoley songs introduces readers with a little-known part of the biography of N.V. Hogola - his passionate folk songs. The album tells about the importance of a folk song in the life and work of the writer. In the publication for the first time, the full texts of songs that preferred to sing and listen to Gogol were collected. The list of such songs in the 1850s was the first biographer of Gogol P.A. Kulish, who wrote: "What is better to honor the memory of the poet, how are not songs? Let"s call these songs by Gogol ".
