They acquire a special relevance against the background of a crazy rhythm of life and universal absorption with gadgets and technique. The language of the East stories is simple and accurate. It is equally distant and from the exalted beautifulness, do not fall into which the writer invariably helps the wise irony, and from the artificial stylization - the east workers will consciously escape the obsessive archaisms, obviously, considering them inappropriate, since he is not talking about the past, but about the lively modernity.
The village and the whole way of rustic life in his miniatures perform, rather, as a stronghold of a reasonable and natural world order, as a link between nature and civilization, is trembling and often invisibly affecting each other.
