Andrei Saint-Senkov (r. 1968) is one of the most unexpected authors in modern Russian poetry. He grew up in Tajikistan, studied medicine in Yaroslavl, played with his verses in Albania and in North Carolina. No less different and unpredictable list of topics that give Saint-Senkov, the subject for poetic reflection. Vittgenstein philosopher"s biography details and a message that flashed in the news report on suicides in India, the catalog of exotic constellations and souvenir magnets on the refrigerator door become starting points for bizarre associative chains. Accuracy and surprise of figurative thinking, often choosing painful topics, invariably found in the end a harmonious and solid picture of the world, a tendency to build a miniature in the series and cycles - all this gave criticism to compare Saint-Senkov"s poetics with acupuncture, in the past one of his medical specialties . And as well as the action of the needle that is part of the human body, the action of Saint-Senkova poetry is heavily and not fully explained
