"Glass-Eyed" is a posthumous novel written by the author shortly before his death. Sergey Sokolkin is widely known as a poet, publicist, and social activist. During the events of 1993, he was imprisoned in Butyrka on charges of rebellion. As a prose writer, he became known shortly before his death with the release of his debut novel "Russian Churka," which managed to have two editions. The second (and last!) novel is a multifaceted and multi-genre work. The reader can expect a vibrant mix of current social themes, personal memoirs of the bohemian life in the capital, and documentary material based on conversations with representatives of the "power block." It is simultaneously a detective story, comedy, melodrama, and tragedy from the lives of different social groups. The author, a famous poet-songwriter, managed to preserve the special melodic lyrical intonations characteristic of his original style. The novel is based on real events.
