The manual considers the nodal problems of the literary process in German-speaking countries and their relationship with the public situation in one or another era. His goal is to familiarize students learning German philology with the main representatives of the German-speaking literature and their creativity, to describe their contribution to the development of European literature and culture, as well as to show the role of literature as the keeper of the creative heritage, paintings by the world of German natives. In addition to lecture material, this manual contains questions for discussion at seminars, as well as tasks for independent work of students.
