The textbook is prepared by a team of authors from the Department of German Language and in accordance with the Educational Standards of MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. It is intended for students who have a German language proficiency level of B1+ according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and aims for the achievement of level B2/B2+. The materials of the textbook are aimed at developing linguistic, communicative, and translation competencies of students. In the process of working, students get acquainted in detail with a number of topics corresponding to the specialization "Trade": "Fundamentals of Trade", "Forms of Enterprises", "Factors Affecting Commercial Activities", "Controlling", "Franchise", "Basics of Writing Commercial Letters", learning to analyze and interpret the information received, competently translate professionally oriented texts from German and into German, conduct comparisons, make conclusions, hold conversations and summarize (orally and in writing) taking into account ethical norms of behavior and speech etiquette, as well as the business style of the foreign language studied, they also develop the ability to conduct discussions on the proposed topics.
