The textbook is a part of the German language coursebook series "Horizons" for 8th grade. The "Horizons" series is a joint project of the publishing house "Prosveshchenie" and the Cornelsen publishing house (Berlin), designed for schools with German language as a second foreign language starting from the 5th grade. The 8th grade is the fourth year of study. The material of the textbook is designed for two hours per week. Modern vocabulary, real communication situations, project work allow the teacher to conduct lessons with maximum efficiency in groups of any level of proficiency. The textbook is developed in accordance with all the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education No. 287 dated May 31, 2021. The state borders are given as of October 2022. Listening texts are available for free download on the publisher's website. 12th revised edition.
