The workbook is an integral part of the German language textbook series 'Horizons' for the 10th grade. The 'Horizons' series is a joint project of the 'Prosveshcheniye' publishing house and the Cornelsen publishing house (Berlin), designed for schools with German as a second foreign language starting from the 5th grade. The manual is oriented towards the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary (Complete) General Education. The workbook contains tasks to activate writing skills, listening with written control, and reading. At the end of each chapter, there is a list of active vocabulary, and at the end of the publication, there is a brief grammar reference guide, which includes a new section for preparing for the Unified State Exam - 'Speech Acts and Language Means'. In the main section of the workbook, tasks in the format of the Unified State Exam are marked with a special icon. The workbook tasks are organically integrated into the learning process, planned for students to work not only at home but also in the classroom, and are a logical continuation of the textbook tasks.
