Hundreds of books, articles, publications are devoted to the work and life of Pavel Andreevich Fedotov. The artistic legacy and the circumstances of the life of the masters are considered carefully and multilaterally. However, as any significant artist, Fedotov remains a figure of an enigmatic, non-comprehensive characteristic that appears to new and new research efforts - from standpoints, not lured by a subjective-biased attitude, neither tendency and sensitiveness of the so-called objective and historical look. I would not want to speak again and again about the artist as about the founder of critical realism "or about the" merciless exposure of serfdom "- all this imposed definitions, the costs of another ancient profession - art history.
No doubt that has passed more than a semi-deed testing of Fedotov"s creativity in his humanism, timeless and non-historical, in an indisputable good attitude to a person - even if he is small, dued-free, row, comic, ridiculous, worthless! But the same man!
