The book is the first scientific biography of one of the most prominent scholars of the twentieth century - Georgy Frantsevich Gauz. The scientist owns fundamental studies in ecology, the theory of evolution, stereoisomeria cells. He formulated the law of Gause, or the principle of competitive exception, which was theoretical foundation of modern ecology.
