The textbook is based on the materials of lectures given by the author in 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 academic years to students of the faculty of mathematics of the National Research University "Higher School of Economics". The purpose of the manual is to familiarize the reader with some basic ideas of modern mathematics with mechanical or physical motivations.
