The current state of exploration and production of oil and gas in the Arctic seas has been investigated. The main theoretical and practical tasks of the search and operation of deposits are considered. Litological, stratigraphic, tectonic, geochemical, glacial, hydrogeological conditions for exploration and development of the Arctic deposits are set out. The directions and scale of geological and geophysical studies of the Arctic seas for the production of exploration and operational drilling are substantiated. The geological technologies of drilling sea wells and the arrangement of the Arctic oil and gas fields are proposed. An environmental analysis of the influence of the oil and gas industry on the environment of the Arctic was performed. Technologies for research of marine productive rocks are given to clarify the structure and reserves of the Arctic deposits.
