The textbook "Geography" for the 9th grade completes the subject line of the educational-methodical complex "Polar Star" for primary school, developed within the framework of a systemic-activity approach. It is written in accordance with the program for this course and takes into account the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education. The content of the textbook covers material on the economy and geographical regions of Russia and is aimed at forming a holistic understanding of our country, taking into account the characteristics of the nature, population, and economy of its individual regions. Special attention is paid to socio-economic problems and development prospects, both of individual industries and geographical regions. New paragraphs included in the textbook are designed to expand students' knowledge of the features of the natural regions of our country, the ecological situation and safety, the plant and animal life of Russia, natural complexes, and Russia's place in the modern world.
