The proposed textbook "Geography. 5th grade" will help students to acquire initial systematic understanding of key geographical issues. It will introduce students to one of the most interesting school subjects - geography, teach students to observe the surrounding world attentively, understand the language of nature, help develop intellectual and creative abilities in solving geographical tasks, creative and project-based research activities, and independent acquisition of new knowledge. The authors of the textbook are well-known scientists and pedagogical methodologists familiar to the educational community: N. A. Maksimov, T. P. Gerasimova, N. P. Neklyukova, and others. The publication complies with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 287 dated May 31, 2021. The content corresponds to the topics of the exemplary working program of basic general education. The boundaries of states on the maps are given as of October 2022.
