This textbook is designed for students in the 5th grade. The set of tasks in the workbook supports a systemic-activity approach to the study of geography, as laid out in the textbook 'Rose of the Winds'. Each lesson in the workbook starts with questions that help the student understand and define the goals of studying specific material, as well as evaluate personal outcomes of the lesson, including acquired skills. Engaging tasks, such as solving crosswords or organizing educational games, will allow for an objective assessment of the assimilation of theoretical knowledge: scientific concepts and facts, geographical nomenclature, knowledge of sources and methods of geographical science, and personalities. The assessment of the results of forming geographical skills is included in the work plan of the 'Geographer-Scout School'. Regular completion of workbook tasks will teach students to work with illustrations, diagrams, and tables, to be neat and attentive. The textbook will help the teacher organize practical and creative work for fifth graders. 7th revised edition.
